ABOUT GEORGIA
Georgia grew up in the suburbs of the San Francisco Bay Area, voraciously consuming books, movies, and television grounded in love, magic, and myth. Her favorite stories were always those about women who modeled strength in every sense of the word: Xena: Warrior Princess, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Princess Leia, Ariel, Anne Elliot, Dottie Hinson, Ellie Sattler, Danielle de Barbarac, and so many others.
Following in her father’s footsteps, Georgia studied religion and classics, earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of California - Davis and a master’s degree from the University of Chicago: Divinity School. In graduate school, her studies focused on religion, myth, and cults in the ancient Mediterranean world.
From Chicago, Georgia settled down in the Pacific Northwest where she lives with her husband, children, and dog.
As a neurodivergent and queer writer—aspects of self that can often make one feel isolated and different—Georgia writes to express, process, and connect. In her writing, she often explores grief, death, sexuality, neurodivergence, womanhood, and family, always with a healthy serving of wit and humor.
